First time visiting my site? I add new cabochons or beads daily or weekly depending on the time of year...Important info such as how to order, how to get free shipping, and my guarantee are at the bottom of the page. Hint to speed up viewing enlargements while shopping my website....Right click on a cabochon you want to see up close, a listing will come up and click on "Open in a new window" left click on that, when the enlargement window comes up left click on the little minus sign in the top right corner...repeat this until you've selected all the items you might be interested in....when you are done you can bring up those enlargements by going to the bottom of your screen and left clicking on those items. Then, you will have a whole bunch of enlargements to look at and decide if they need to be yours or not....just like if you were here in my studio playing with them. Measurements on the ruler are in inches!

CABOCHONS (no holes)....Making your cabochon into a bead: Need a channel routed around your cab (not donuts), the cost is $3.00 per cab...great for beaders out there too! 5 or more and the price is $2.00 per cab. Any cabochon can be made into a bead for $4.00 additional; the bail is sterling silver and I prep the glass and metal and bond them together for you....allow one or two additional days for this service. AT this time, LADY LARKSPUR bails will be $6.00 As they are handmade (by me) bails and require more silver....please see pictures immediately below.
Serving suggestions: Beaders sometimes use this with a groove routed with wire, sometimes folks use a handmade beaded bezel, wire wrapping, bezel setting (let me know if you are bezel setting them so that I can make sure they are rounded enough at the edges...especially on the squarish or sharper cornered ones), Precious Metal Clay (PMC3), cold connected with sterling silver sheet and wire, base metal or sterling silver bails bonded on, bonded to the back, braided bezels, stained glass type soldered bezel. The opportunities are endless and only restricted by your imagination :)

DONUTS ...All donuts are textured and 3 dimensional (NOT FLAT like a domed cab AND the hole is in the center straight on as you see it :) Sizes vary on these as do pricing... sometimes I go bigger and sometimes I go smaller. I have more stock so ask if you are curious as to what else I may have! Serving suggestions: These can be wire wrapped, a bail constructed with PMC3, a colorful ribbon tied on, a pin finding bonded to the back, bezel or prong set (soldering skills needed).

About Dichroic (di-crow-ik) glass...The "di" in dichroic is Greek in origin; it means two. (Dichroic glass has two colors in its coatings--a reflected color and a transmitted color). Dichroic Glass is valued and prized in the art glass world for its brilliant iridescent play of colors. The coating that produces the wonderful, iridescent play of colors is actually multiple micro-thin layers of metal oxides sprayed on the surface of the glass base. We have the aerospace industry to thank for creating this coated glass and it has been in use for art/beading purposes since the 1990's. Conversely, the glass fusing process has been in use since the times of the Phoenicians (about 4,000 years ago).
About my work...I use only the finest dichroic glass and art glass in creating my dichroic glass cabochons. I carefully hand cut each piece of glass. Multiple layers of art glass and dichroic glass are then carefully placed to achieve the desired effect; I use as many layers as needed to create a piece I am happy with. Then, my glass composition is carefully fused in my state-of-the-art kiln. Each of my cabochons goes through the kiln at least three times and pendant beads go through at least four times. Every dichroic glass cabochon, donut, or pendant bead is an individual work of art created one at a time. Each cabochon or pendant bead is a miniature art quilt or painting that must be pieced together to arrive at the whole. You can be assured my dichroic glass cabochons are smooth with no sharp edges or puckers. I run my fingers over each and every cabochon, donut, and bead to make sure no one is getting stabbed by a vagrant glass spike! Remember...pay the price for quality materials and you will be rewarded when you spend your valuable time in making them into a valuable, and cherished piece of jewelry...one in which you will get many compliments or jump off your show table quickly! :) Most everything is one of a kind...but sometimes I can conjure up something similar...just ask.How I Do Business...A favorite customer and I were chatting via email about doing business on the WWW as she is wanting to build a website herself for her gorgeous PMC/Dichroic Glass jewelry. She made my day with the following comments but it explains how I do business in a nutshell. "You're my ideal when it comes to website management. Your pictures are generally great, the website is informative and easy to maneuver. But the real selling point is YOU! You're virtually always THERE when I write, you address everyone personally (while I'd like to think I get special treatment and truly am a princess, I imagine you are very personable with ALL your customers-and they enjoy getting to know you as much as I), you have an enormous inventory, you make suggestions for alternatives, you restock the site frequently and, not the least importantly, have gorgeous products." Briana
I appreciate feedback...let me know what you like...shapes, colors, styles, sizes, etc.
My guarantee...I stand behind my work and if you are unhappy for any reason, you may return the item for a full refund (less $3.00 shipping costs--I am a small operation.) or credit (your choice, of course). You must advise me within 10 days from receipt of order to be eligible for refund. No returns on cabs that have been grooved. Happy customers mean happy me!
SHIPPING:
Shipping is FAST! Your package goes out either the day you pay or the next day. You are my top priority! Where possible, I use recycled products (like bubble wrap) and other clean packaging. Count on my deleting your items as soon as they are shipped...so if you want to save them or print out the cab section please do. Don't forget you should be able to click on each picture to get an up-close-and-personal photo of each piece..just like you were here in my studio and could bring it right up to your eyeballs for a closer look! :)
Shipping (US): is via US Postal service first class because it has been reliable for me...$3.00 flat shipping fee.. Spend $60 on website items and I ship your items for FREE! If you want insurance say so: $1.20 for purchases up to $49.99, and $2.20 for totals over $50 - $99.99, $3.20 for totals 100+. If you are concerned about lost packages, buy the insurance. I am not responsible for lost packages if you do not purchase insurance.
Shipping (Canada): Order $80 worth of dichroic goodies and get free shipping (international first class/not insured). Insurance for parcels going to Canada has become cost prohibitive so I will not be insuring them...unless you want to pay for the upgrade in shipping $17 plus the $10.80 insurance...a whopping $27.80 for a little parcel!
Shipping (International): Shipping to UK/Australia is $3.00 for up 3 cabs, $6,00 for 4 to 6 cabs, and travels via international first class mail (not global priority) and should take about one week. The post office tells me that International first class mail is almost as quick as global priority as it now goes by air. (Unfortunately insurance is not available at any kind of price you would even think about paying and I cannot be responsible for it once it leaves here...that said, I've never had a package go missing.) US postal service is not very willing to insure items that leave the country. Free shipping for UK/NZ/Australia orders would involve a $125 purchase. Any other countries, please email me for rates.
How to Order: Email me at dcason@hvc.rr.com with the item names/numbers you would like to own and whether you will be paying by Paypal, check (10 day clearing period), Mastercard/Visa or money order. I will then send you a Paypal request for payment (please provide email) OR I can provide you with info on where to send a check/money order OR I can get credit card info from you. You can also call me at (845) 687-0708. Some of my customers have requested that I keep their credit card into on file so they can just email me with their order and poof...all the info is here. If it is a weekday and you don't get a response from me within 8 hours assume your email got lost in cyberspace---it happens more than I would like. Usually you will hear from me within a couple of hours. The weekends that I am away I will post a message here to say so. PLEASE NOTE: ONCE ITEMS HAVE BEEN SHIPPED, I WILL BE REMOVING THEM FROM MY WEBSITE.
Sales Tax: I am required to collect sales tax if you live in New York 8 1/4%. If you provide me with a copy of your resale/tax exempt certificate, you are tax free!
Volume Pricing (for US customers): buy $100 worth of cabs and you get 10% off your purchase and free shipping...(cost of cutting grooves not included in the $100).
